What is the point?

Breathing life into old hardware is fun, it takes something that is either dead, dying or ‘obsolete’ and either making it useful again, or working out how it works and if it can be useful again.

It’s old, it’s junk… just take it to the tip!

It’s that mentality that irritates me. So much tech goes to the landfill because it can’t receive new software.. or because it’s considered uncool, or not the latest hardware when it is perfectly functional.

We need to leave this mindset behind, and to re-use hardware beyond its ‘consumer sell by date’
